Do you have your Easter baskets ready? One of the best things to do is fill it with books. If you’re having a hard time finding a few books, here are some great ideas.
“Everybunny Counts” by Ellie Sandall
How can you go wrong with including books in their basket? I continually scour the bookshelves at thrift stores throughout the year for holiday books. But if you’re looking for a new cute book, I absolutely adored “Everybunny Counts“
.
Love the illustrations and my 3-year-old daughter loves counting anything and everything, so this is perfect for her.
“The Easter Bunny’s Assistant” by Jan Thomas
This is a hilarious take on how The Bunny and his assistance, Skunk make beautiful eggs. It would be perfect to read while dyeing and decorating eggs.
“Here Comes the Easter Beagle!” by Charles M. Schulz
For my older boys, I also added this Peanuts book. What happens when the Easter Beagle doesn’t feel like delivering the eggs? A cute book that also includes stickers which you know is always fun.
Easter is more than just the Easter Bunny, searching for eggs, and an Easter basket. I wanted my kids to be aware of why we celebrate Easter so The Story Egg was just the thing I was looking for.
The kit comes with a book and nesting eggs so we can count down to Easter starting from Palm Sunday. As you read each day, unveil one new hand-crafted egg.
We tried it today and we enjoyed it. It’s a wonderful tradition that we can do every year. Gotta love that!
They also make one for Christmas with a book and nativity set. Will definitely need to look into that!
So tell me. What are your favorite books to include in your Easter basket?
