We’ve been traditionally taught to avoid carbs, eat dinner early, and never before bed. With “Always Eat After 7,” backed by scientific research, they show us that’s not always the case.
As you may remember, my main goals of starting this program is to get my health on track while trying to lose a few pounds. And I have to say, following Joel’s program I am feeling the health benefits! During this first week, I’ve already lost a few pounds. And guess what? I actually enjoy the food that I’m eating. One of the bummers I’ve found with other programs is trying to find recipes and food that I can actually eat. Not with “Always Eat After 7PM!” There are easy options like Mocha Protein Smoothie or Dark Chocolate Granola when I’m in a pinch. With recipes like Chocolate Very Ice Cream, I don’t feel like I’m depriving my sweet tooth.
Another way I’m feeling healthier always happens to be one of the easiest changes I’ve implemented: drinking lemon water.

Other things I am loving
After trying the program out for a few weeks, here are a few things that I am loving:
- Meal plans are all laid out by day and easy to follow
- The ability to ease into the plans
- Recipes that are actually really good (and I crave!) In fact, as I type this I am drooling thinking about the Chickpea Blondies. I made the Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken for the family and they devoured it!
- Dessert options!
