GOOD OL’ CLASSIC FUN
One of the best things about Santa’s Village is that we never feel overwhelmed with the number of rides. It’s perfectly doable! We love taking our time letting each kid pick the ride or activity to do. If you’re nostalgic at all, you’ll love Santa’s Village for their classic rides. Take a spin on the Roto-Whip which used to be at Kiddieland or the classic Snowball Ride. The kids absolute ride is the Wacky Worm (or caterpillar) as my kids call it. Thrilling enough for littles just getting into coasters, and basically the only coaster my kids will ride. But if you do prefer thrilling rides, they have a few of those too.
This is the first year Santa Springs will be opened, so I definitely recommend allotting enough time here. Plus, admission is included in the price! Lighthouse Harbor is THE spot for the kiddos. It has zero depth entry, tipping buckets, mini slides, and sprinklers. For those that prefer thrills, they have two twisty water slides.
I liked that there were plenty of lounge seats, but unfortunately none of them were in the shade. I would maybe splurge next time and get a cabana. (They look super cute!)
Meet the animals
Everywhere you turn, you’ll meet a few friendly animals. The best part is that you can feed them! We got a cup of feed at Old MacDonald’s Barn and fed animals like goats, sheep, cows, and donkeys. There’s even unique animals like a zebu! My son instantly formed a bond with him.
Games and fun activities
Besides rides and the waterpark and animals, there are games to play! The best thing is that no matter what game you play, everyone comes out a winner! The kids preferred choice of games were Lucky Duck and Balloon game. (Tip: The small prizes at Lucky Duck are great so I would try that.) Another fun activity was gem mining. They loved all the treasures they found.
PLENTY OF FOOD CHOICES
Getting Dole Whip is a must when at Santa’s Village, but during our visit the machine was broken. But I highly recommend it! Family favorites are also available like fresh grilled burgers and hot dogs (a must at Route 66 Grill.!) The chicken tenders and tots at Mrs. Claus’ kitchen was a huge hit with the kids. Don’t forget about amusement park staples like cotton candy, ice cream, Kona Ice, and funnel cake.
FUN PHOTO OPS
From the colorful buildings to the specific photo spots, there are plenty of opportunities for an Insta-worthy photo.
