Heading to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee? Look no further than The Inn on the River! Located along the banks of the Little Pigeon River, the Inn provided a little bit of quiet from a busy day exploring the area.  That, along with newly renovated rooms and amazing amenities, made our stay exactly we needed. Read on to find out more about our stay.

Disclosure: Our family was provided a complimentary stay at Inn on the River. I was not required to express a particular point of view, and all opinions are my own.

GETTING STARTED AT Inn on the River

The lobby at the Inn on the River was super cozy with a fireplace and access to board games. My kids loved that they could grab a cookie as well. Our check-in was pretty easy.

ROOM

We stayed in a Deluxe Riverside Double Queen room which included a sofa bed. It was the perfect size for our family of 5.  Plus, it was nice to see that the rooms have been recently renovated. Our room on the first floor was perfect since we could sit out on the balcony and also have easy access to the outdoor pool next to us. While our particular room didn’t give us great views of the river (because of the bushes), if we walked just a little bit we could see it.

Free Breakfast

I seek out hotels with breakfast and Inn on the River knows how to do a great breakfast. The complimentary daily breakfast bar offered a variety of options like make-your-own waffles, french toast sticks, sausage, eggs, fruit, cereal, yogurt, and my personal favorite, biscuits and gravy!

Splash Away

After a day of exploring the area on a steamy summer day, we couldn’t wait to take a dip in the outdoor pool. The kids loved it!

While we enjoyed the outdoor pool, they also have a heated indoor pool and a hot tub.

Free Popcorn

My kids absolutely go crazy for popcorn so when they saw the popcorn machine in the lobby, they couldn’t be more excited!

Enjoy complimentary popcorn each night  from 7 p.m.-10 p.m.

ENJOY the River

One of the major benefits of staying at The Inn on the River is its proximity to the Little Pigeon River. We loved waking up each day to the sound of flowing water from our patio. Another great spot to enjoy the view is the common area complete with rocking chairs.

Awesome location

Located on the busy Parkway in Pigeon Forge, the Inn on the River was just a short drive to many of the popular attractions like the Titanic Museum, Beyond the Lens, The Island and the Great Smoky Wheel, and the many eateries. We even walked to one of our favorite attractions, the Lumberjack Feud and Lumberjack Adventure Park. Even though, the Inn was located on a busy street, the ideal location by the river made everything that much more peaceful.
