Getting Started

We headed east on Rt. 120 and found the orchard on the right. Make sure you to keep your eyes peeled or you may miss it. (If you pass the cemetery, you’ve gone too far.) Travel down the gravel road for a minute or so past the cemetery. Someone was there to guide us to a parking spot on the grass.

Strawberry Picking at Sun Berry Orchard Farm

We arrived around 2 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon and it was not too busy at all. We checked in underneath the white tent and paid for a 4 quart basket. Once we paid, we were off to the fields. We just started going down the rows and rows of strawberries and started picking. There is so much room! Since we were a little early in the season, it took a little longer to fill our bucket. But once we did find a few bushes, we were in business. The strawberries were so good and sweet!

TIPS TO ENJOY STRAWBERRY PICKING AT Sun Berry Orchard:

  • Kids can play on the small playground set.

  • There are also bunnies! We were bummed we didn’t get to hold them – next time.
  • Wagons are available to help transport strawberres – first come, first serve.
  • Rain much? They have straw in between the rows so you’ll have less chance to get muddy.
