Kids (and adults) that strive to be the next American Ninja Warrior will need to check out the Ninja Park in Schaumburg. Although officially called the Challenge Course at Meineke Park, this ninja course is sure to be loved by your active kids (and adults!)
Highlights of the Ninja Park in Schaumburg:
After parking, the kids beelined straight to the obstacle course. It was our second time here, and I’ve found that it’s definitely much more enjoyable with older kids (10, 8, and 6) though I don’t doubt little ones will have a blast as well! What’s even cooler is that we could time ourselves. There’s climbing and crawling and jumping. Perfect for any active kid and adult! But if you’re like my kids, they just found one thing that they loved and kept trying it again and again.
Want to race? Challenge each other to a 40 yard dash.
There are two different playgrounds – one for the younger set and one for those a little bit older. My kids loved the zipline (though it really didn’t “zip” so well.) My daughter and I loved the mommy and me swings (they have 2!) The other usual suspects were there including the slides, monkey bars, rock climbing wall.
- For a fun treat, try Umbrella Tea House for bubble tea and milk shakes. Such a cute vibe!

Discovered the cutest tea spot in Schaumburg after visiting the #NinjaPark last week @umbrellateahouse! The decor and vibe is so soothing and cute, and the drinks are so yummy! 📷 Strawberry Matcha Tea, Taro Bubble tea with tapioca balls, mango smoothie with crystal jelly, and strawberry smoothie with crystal jelly. Probably best taro bubble tea that I’ve had and I’m a taro snob (yes, it beats Joy Yee’s!) Curious about the ninja park? Check out my stories.
Location:220 E. Weathersfield Way, Schaumburg
Parking: Plenty of parking in the parking lot.
Crowded: We visited on a Thursday evening and it was busy but not overly crowded.
