This summer has been a blast and of course we’ve done our share of playground hopping. One of the favorite parks to hit the Northwest Suburbs is Burning Bush Trails Park in Mount Prospect.  Plenty of fun for everyone!

GETTING STARTED AT BURNING BUSH

We plugged in the address in our GPS and found the park easily. They have their own parking lot and it was plentiful.

HIGHLIGHTS OF BURNING BUSH:

PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT

There are two different playgrounds – one for the younger set and one for those a little bit older. The tall play structure at 30 feet is one of the tallest in Chicagoland!

Play structure for younger kids

In addition to the two playgrounds, there is also a climbing net. That’s always a hit!

The accessible spinning merry-go-round was great too (and provided a little bit of shade!)

GOOD TO KNOW

  • Pickleball, tennis, and futsal courts, woodland walk, shelters, ping pong, basketball court, and roller hockey.

  • Pack a picnic and enjoy it underneath the pavilion.
  • They have those fabulous double swings that face each other.

FINAL THOUGHTS OF BURNING BUSH

Make sure to add this to your playground bucket list. It was definitely one of our favorite parks we’ve been to this summer!

WHILE YOU’RE HERE

  • Eat all you can eat Korean BBQ at Mr. Kimchi!
  • Cool off with one of our favorite ice cream spots, Capannari’s Ice Cream.
