Our Let it Shine Holiday Lights Experience:
Getting started
Make sure to buy your tickets beforehand as they won’t allow walk-ins. For your safety and others, they can scan your tickets with the windows rolled up. If you purchase a fast pass, you have the possibility to bypass the longer lines. Tune your radio to 87.9. Trust me, you WILL want to do that – it is part of the experience!
Our Let It Shine Holiday Lights Experience
For 3/4 of a mile, we enjoyed watching the dazzling lights twinkle in the night. Hands down, the best part was watching the lights dance to the holiday music played on the radio. (Bonus points for the music not being super cheesy. In fact, you will want to add the songs to your holiday playlist.) The kids got a kick of some of the lights “singing” along with the music. So cute!

My favorite part was going through the lighted tunnels and archways. And yes, there is more than one! Make sure to take your time!
Not only did we cruise by the dazzling archways, but fun illuminated installations like snowmen, sparkling candy canes, dazzling stars, and more.
Tips:
- Arrive at beginning of your scheduled time.
- Have your printed ticket or mobile ticket ready.
- Want to skip the lines? Get a fast pass.
- Make your outing extra special by packing popcorn and hot chocolate for the kids. If there are long lines, it makes the wait more bearable. Trust me.
- Take your time! Wanting to savor the moment, we slowly cruised by and even stopped at some parts to enjoy the show. All in all, I would say it took about 20-30 minutes to go through.
- Interested in other holiday drive thru lights show? We also love this Wisconsin light show.

Thanks so much for sharing the link to this on the FB Make it Fun group — I have anxiety over new things so LOVE reading detailed reviews about everything before going. Even like, how to get a vehicle emissions test haha Allllll the details! I’m anxious to check this out with my 5 month old who doesn’t love the car… but maybe she’d fall asleep on the drive from the city there? We’ll see.
My fave holiday tradition is going to get our Christmas tree; the more rustic the experience the better haha And of course the decorating that follows plus plenty of opportunities for National Lampoon’s Christmas quotes 🙂
Baking cookies and pies and the kids wearing matching pajamas on Christmas morning.
