Travelling with two toddlers is not easy, and my husband and I have learned that convenience has become more and more a necessity. Take for example our trip to the Mall of America. When we learned that there was a brand new hotel ATTACHED to the Mall, we were intrigued. Not having to worry about bringing jackets? Not having to worry about strapping the boys in their car seats? Score!
Nitty Gritty:
Location: 2100 Killebrew Drive, Bloomington, MN 55425; this is the ONLY hotel located directly at the Mall of America.
Parking: There is a parking garage connected directly to the hotel.
Hotel Highlights:
- The hotel is connected directly to the Mall of America. You can’t get any more convenient than that!
- Brand spankin’ new opening March 2013. In fact, it still smells new!
- Easy access to the room – just swipe your card.
- Modern and fun decor located throughout the hotel.

- For an additional $40 (or if you have a junior executive suite), you’ll have access to the business lounge which includes breakfast. A huge deal so we didn’t have to go out and look for food in the morning.
Room highlights:
- You can dine in or order room service. They had one restaurant to choose from. But we were so close to the mall with dining options that we didn’t need to dine here or order room service.

- Coffee lovers rejoice – Caribou Coffee located right by the entrance of the hotel.
- The Radisson likes to surprise their youngest guests with a tent – how fun! They even laid out pillows and a sheet in there!

- Cool furniture and design elements that I wanted to make mine, mine, mine!
- A saltwater pool! First we’ve seen that indoors at a hotel!
We wish…
- ..there was more counter space in the bathrooms.
- ..access to the elevator was closer.
Bottom Line:
If you’re looking for the perfect location to access Mall of America’s shopping and entertainment, nothing beats the Radisson Blu directly connected to all the action. In fact, you may never have to leave the mall complex.
