Hotel EMC2 Highlights
Modern & stylish rooms
The rooms are modern and cozy with deep blues accented with copper fixtures. I love how the artwork is framed with the copper pipes. The glass-encased showers are pretty neat and proudly displayed. (Don’t worry, they have curtains for privacy!) Oh, and you mustn’t forget the large windows showcasing the city views.
The coolest helpers. Ever!

My kids and I totally geeked out when we heard that they had robots! Leo and Cleo are Hotel EMC2’s official helpers. Need a toothbrush? They will come right to your door and deliver. On our particular visit, they delivered door stops, surprise treats, and a kids package. My kids were absolutely smitten. Check it out in action below:
STEM fun for kids
At Hotel EMC2, March has officially been designated as “Inventor’s Month.” To celebrate, the hotel has put together awesome STEM kits highlighting a popular children’s book with activities. And the best part is that the robot concierges Leo and Cleo deliver them straight to your door. Choose from one of four kits kits: “Giraffes Can’t Dance” build your own musical instrument; “Dragons Love Tacos” build a taco or your favorite food with LEGOS;“Rosie Revere, Engineer” build your own unique contraption; “Iggy Peck, Architect” build your own fantasy structure. My kids had a blast working on these STEM kits!
Geeked out touches
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again — it’s all about the small details. Hotel EMC2 delivers with plenty of unique and thoughtful amenities. The acoustic amplifier in the shape of a gramophone ( initially mistaken as a tuba by the kids) blasted music once we inserted our phone in the slot.
My kids made quick friends with the Amazon Alexa provided in the room. It’s even programmed with specific customized cues to use to contact the hotel front desk or to contact the helpful robots Cleo and Leo. Awesome, right! Looking for another way to connect with the hotel? You can text message them as well. My kids, science lovers, couldn’t get over the different “sciencey” touches in the room from from beaker cups in the bathroom to test tube vases.
On each floor, you’ll also find screens with rotating art from local artist. Even the elevators sported beautiful artwork.

Located in the heart of Streeterville, we were a block away from the Magnificent Mile. My daughter and I did a little breakfast run and found ourselves at the world’s largest Starbucks, Starbucks Reserve Roastery. We then proceeded to Do-Rite Donuts for our donut fix, although we were also tempted with Stanley’s Donuts and Sweet Mandy B’s located around the block. And the smells from Garrett’s Popcorn was seriously tempting. For lunch, we were craving ramen and headed to Ramen Misoya one block over. One thing’s for sure – you’re never too far away from food!
Pets are welcome at the property!
