A review of TinkerActive Workbooks that focus on STEM concepts for Kindergarteners to second graders.

With back to school time looming ahead, we’re slowly trying to get back in the groove. School supplies are all ready and packed and our snack/lunch cabinet is full of goodies. The last thing left is getting them mentally prepared for school. One of the ways we’re doing that is by using TinkerActive Workbooks to brush up on our STEM skills. Not only are they learning and re-learning concepts, but it’s fun!

Highlights of TinkerActive Workbooks

  • All about STEM. I’m a huge fan of STEM-based learning and TinkerActive Workbooks deliver with different STEM concepts focused on Science and Math. In fact, there are 8 pages dedicated to each concept to reinforce learning. Both my son and daughter were actually excited to get their hands on an activity book. The activities they worked on kept the kids engaged plus there were a variety of things to do like tracing, matching, or filling in the blank.

  • Adorable characters. The MotMots are citizens of TinkerTown and these adorable characters are seen throughout the pages. Because learning is more fun when cute characters are involved, right?
  • Get rewarded. After each project, kids can reward themselves with a sticker. After they’re all done with the workbook, kids can unbox a collectible magnet hidden in the back cover. What a great way to encourage and reward kids!

  • Learn through play. There are sections where the kids “tinker” and try experiments themselves. And the best thing is that you don’t need to go searching for the items — most are common household items.

Bottom Line:

I thought these TinkerActive Workbooks were excellent! The perfect way to continue learning throughout the year or to brush up on skills in anticipation of the upcoming school year.
