Looking for a great park with playgrounds to keep you busy? Randall Oaks Park in West Dundee not only has a cute zoo, but there are three playgrounds to keep the kids busy before or after seeing the animals. They’ve recently finished work on the “hidden” or secret playground and its a crowd pleaser! Read all about the playgrounds at Randall Oaks Park.

Playgrounds at Randall Oaks Park:
Find tons of things to do at Randall Oaks Park including a small zoo, disc golf, walking trails, picnic tables, and more! I’ll be highlighting their three playgrounds. With so many choices, if one happens to be busy, it’s easy to head to another one.
Randall Oaks Playground #1: Closest to Zoo
If you park by the Zoo parking and follow the paved path, you’ll immediately see the first playground (and smallest of the 3.) This one is simple at best and best geared towards the younger kids. The highlight here is the seesaw and the large sand area.
Randall Oaks Playground #2: Center playground
Continue down the path to find the other playground. The nature-themed playground is tons of fun! And plenty of spots to play “the floor is lava!” Since this one is located right in the middle of the park, this one is quite popular. Pack a picnic and enjoy the shade provided by the tall trees.
Tip: There is a closer parking area here. Pass the zoo parking lot then veer towards the right and follow the one way driving path around the zoo. After you pass the back of the zoo, you’ll find the parking area on your left.
Randall Oaks Playground #3: The new hidden/secret park
Half the fun of this one is finding the hidden/secret playground. (Find instructions on how to get here.) The new and improved hidden park is the largest of all three. The three play structures are fun, but I’d say that some of the play equipment may be a bit more advanced and better suited towards for older children (lots of climbing) The net swing was fun and the net structure was a hit.
.
Kids will no doubt flock to the huge sand area. There is a digger and a water feature that looks like will be fun in the warmer months. Make sure to pack an extra set of clothes.
Who can resist the super long zip line? One of the best in the area. (Kaper Park in Cary rivals this one!)
