Do you have kids that love LEGOs? How about a whole weekend full of LEGO fun? We went to the All-Star LEGO Weekend last year and had a great time! I can imagine how much fun it would be if we stayed the entire weekend! Read all about our experience here.
When: Friday, February 3 through Sunday, February 5; open from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sunday
What: All-Star LEGO Weekend* encourages guests and visitors to build, explore, and engage through interactive activities and hands-on workshops with expertise offered by LEGO clubs and groups from throughout the Midwest. Read all about it here.
Cost: The general public is welcome to purchase daily admission tickets at the resort for only $2 per person. If you choose to stay at the resort (highly recommend) packages start at $169/night.
The Fun:
- Workshops that will focus on the building process, including inspiration, design, and construction with a focus on technique to keeps kids excited from conception through completion.
- Family-friendly fun from morning to night with activities such as a LEGO Raceway, a LEGO Mini-Fig Rescue Mission, a self-facilitated Eye Spy LEGO Quest
- LEGO movies
- LEGO themed treats such as Mini-Fig marshmallow pops and sugar cookies
- Super cool exhibits created by the Northern Illinois LEGO Train Club and its affiliates throughout the Midwest

- KLUG DERBY TRACK* Get your motors started and prepare for the race! The competition may be fierce, but design your LEGO® car for speed and you may be the winner as your car races down the 40’ track.
- Inspiration is on display with a series of presentations geared toward the older enthusiasts. Designing a LEGO® amusement park; LEGO® Digital Designer; Building in Micro-scale
- FEBRUARY 4TH 11:30AM-4:30PM Join MaXxx Motorsports at The Abbey Resort for winter fun. Enjoy free rides on side x sides, winter sports exhibitions, and a chance to win prizes. Also, we’ll have frozen turkey bowling, ice skating, food, beverages and a spot to warm up by the fire pit. Don’t miss the most fun you can have on four wheels with MaXxx Motorsports winter fun.
