We are fans of Da Bears and wanted to share our love of our favorite team with our kids. We thought taking a tour would be a better alternative than our kids freezing their little tushies (and ours) for an actual game. So when I heard that Solder Field offered family-friendly tours of the stadium, we jumped right on it. Plus, as you may already know, I am a sucker for tours!

Ticket prices: $15.00 per adult; $10.00 students ages 10 +; $4.00 children ages 9 to 4; FREE three and under
Location: 1410 S. Museum Campus Drive
Parking: If you are driving, I’d park at the North Garage. The rates are between $19 to $22 depending on how long you stay. Exit towards the eastern side of the garage and head south towards Gate 1 where you will check in and start the tour.
Crowded?: No the tour was the perfect size that we were able to hear the guide clearly
Stroller-friendly?: On our particular tour, a family did bring a stroller. There are steps on a tour, and at times can be narrow. We personally would not bring a stroller.
Highlights
- Learning more facts about our beloved Bears
- Seeing the field from the sidelines (bummer…we couldn’t go on the field). Not a huge problem since we’ve been on it before during the Soldier Field Egg-travaganza during Easter)
- Seeing the locker room where football greats had once walked around
- Getting to check out the million-dollar views of the field (and lake) at the executive suites that otherwise we’d never have the opportunity to see
- There’s so many family-friendly events throughout the year that include an Easter Egg Hunt (we enjoyed this a few years back), Breakfast with Santa, and even a Bears family game day.
- Awesome photo ops!
- Remembering why Soldier Field was named so – it’s the largest veteran’s memorial outside of Washington, D.C.
Bottom Line
Yes, of course! Not only is it a fun, learning experience, but it reminds visitors of why the stadium was named Soldier Field. It’s a must-see for any Bears fan – both young and old.
