We had a great day exploring the Hampshire area, and one of the most memorable experiences was going to Enjoy Pioneer Farm. Not only did we get to see farm animals like lamb and baby goats, but we had the chance to hold and cuddle with them. It was quite a memorable experience!
Our experience:
Once we found parking along the driveway, we made our way to the where all the kids were – an open area with ride-on toys.
They also had other fun activities for kids.
The real fun though awaits here…inside the Lambing Barn.
Once we walked in we first saw and heard the sheep and the baby lamb. So adorable! While the space isn’t large, it is intimate and the perfect environment for one on one time with the animals.
The owner, Carol, helps you get acquainted with the animals. We first started by getting to know the baby chicks better. They were only a few days old and, oh my gosh, were they the cutest things ever!
My son couldn’t believe how soft it was.
Just look at the smile on his face. So precious!
After our primer with the chicks, we were ready for more cuddles from their other animals…like goats, bunnies…

…and of course baby lamb!
My little one had the chance to feed the piglet and even brush its hair.
The surprise of the day was going outside and being able to walk the calf around outside. Everyone also had the chance to pet the cutie.
Tips:
- Want more one on one time with a baby chick or duckling? You can rent them here for two weeks.
- Want to start eating healthier? Want the chance to learn more about growing and picking vegetables? They offer a CSA where you can pick food straight from the farm for 20 weeks. You have two options – a full share (every week) or a half share (every other week). They have over 100 varieties of vegetables, so you can try new veggies. Plus, the owner will show you first hand how to pick veggies like corn and dig up potatoes. What a fun, exciting learning experience for the entire family!
