The new book by Joel Marion, Always Eat after 7PM, suggests a program for losing weight while eating at night. Follow along as I follow his program.

Since we’ve been staying home more, I’ve taken time to enjoy the simpler things in life. Time outside with the kids. Hikes. Bike rides. Reading. Taking care of myself. (Yes, me time!)  So, when I had the opportunity to read a new book, Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks – While Burning Fat Overnight, debunking a few diet myths, I was intrigued.

 Who thinks you can lose weight AND eat at night? When I heard about this concept while reading Always Eat After 7PM by Joel Marion, I was intrigued. Could I really eat late at night AND lose weight? Well, as someone who’s on a mission to get healthier overall and lose a few pounds, the concept is definitely intriguing.

Eat the majority of your calories at night. 

Um, what? 

Like you, you’ve probably been taught to avoid carbs and never eat before bed. But according to surprising scientific studies, that’s not true. 

Having carbs in the evening is also a great weight loss strategy. When you’re active, your body burns mainly carbohydrates and muscle glycogen for energy. By eating carbs at night, you allow your body to use them to restore glycogen for energy the next day and provide your body with the glucose it needs to regulate your blood sugar levels during sleep.  – Joel Marion

Always Eat After 7PM debunks these popular diet myths and offers an easy-to-follow diet that accelerates fat-burning. And yes, it includes recipes that actually look delicious. (Chocolate is allowed!)

And some, dare I say, even simple. 

So how does it work? The process is divided into three phases. The first 14 days, Acceleration Phase, is when we see rapid results. During the Main Phase, I’ll learn all about the foods I’ll need to eat. And finally, the last phase, the Lifestyle Phase, is used to reinforce the weight loss…for good! 

Well, guys guess what? I’m all in and I plan on being your guinea pig.
